I would love to have a fork truck at the house but really could not justify it. I have several at work and you are correct with respect the cost of parts and service on them. I would like to mount a mast on my 3point but it would not have the lift capacity of a fork truck. That is a sharp truck, nice job

I felt the same way about a forklift but last summer this one came along and I bought it. The guy had a 10 gallon overhall done on it and I didn't realize how bad it was until I got it home. Shortly after that I purchased our new Kubota and kind of lost interest in the lift until one day I needed it so I decided to dig into it and get it done.

I rebuilt almost everything except the tranny. It's an automatic and it's working well so I left that portion of it as it was. I thought about forks for the Bota but it would never lift the same as the fork lift plus it can turn on a dime and give you 5 cents change. The whole project as it sits there now cost me about $7000. including the purchase of the lift and I can easely get that back if need be. Around these parts a rought terrain forklift is hard to find. There's plenty of hard tire warehouse ones but that wouldn't work for me here. Glad you like it. Appreciate your comments.

Bill I wouldn't mind if you did take me but the wife would have issues with it. I have to be around for the mowing. I'd say the only way you could keep me was to ask for a randsum then she would say "Keep'em"

Can you come to my workplace and rebuilt my forklift... ours is pretty much the same model, except a little newer.... it needs a couple of things taken care of.... like the hydraulic valve box leaks, needs a regulator (we think) due to hard starting and I wouldn't complain about adding "forklift bling" to it either...

It's kind of funny. I have restored just about everything except a vehicle. I get asked a lot if I would do it but I guess it's because I would on vehicles every day for a living and I do eveveything else just for a change. I've often pondered about building my own Hot Rod and got all the plans in my head for the thing but it too would be a Hugh job. Maybe one day I'll start at it.

I know you were joking about the '83 Toyota but that's a nice truck and would look awesum restored/customized. As for this old lift. I just wanted to put it back where it was usable yet look nicer. It's still a working machine so I'm glad that everyone enjoyes seeing it.

As for my Grand L 4240 Cab. I did a lot of "special" things with it last year when I purchased it. Someone said I'm the only person they knew that could purchase a new tractor and spend four months getting it ready to plow snow

if you look in this picture there is a rivet about 2" down from the top the the left rear pillar diamond plate section.

I don't like the "unique whips" show....they just put in a new stereo,new wheels & upholstery the inside...and think that is a custom job.

Man this lift got factory holes in the top that are larger than 1.5" in dia. with nothing in them. Six 1/8th dia holes are not going to get me arrested

I've tried it all for lifting and I think the only thing that can replace a forklift is another forklift. It has the weight. Lifting height and turns on a dime. Glad you liked the lift. Thanks!

Ha! You would all fall asleep before the first commercial. I never really enjoyed looking at that stuff on TV and when I do there's always a deadline or an argument. Now that I think of it. It's much like my life

Well my old forklift made it's first heavy lift. The tool weighed a little over 3000 lbs and the lift didn't even notice it. Now that the "new tool" arrived I'm ready to do my next tractor modifaction

That's a big YES. Time to deal with the stupid exhaust on my tractor. Pointing the exhaust at the tire and the FEL. Who the heck come up with that idea? I seen another one today in the city. It was hard to tell if it was supposed to be orange or black.


Glad your wife liked my work. Wish mine did Actually she does. She's very supportive. You need that when there married to guys like us

We have some weird stuff come in our little shop to be either designed or rebuilt but it makes like interesting to say the least. The next project will be the tractor again. It better be or you guys will boot me off this site
