How much is parking at the shop? I see that you have a parking meter by the doors. Anyway, excelent job - as always.

Having been a forklift mechanic for 25 years now, I think I am qualified to tell you this. Sweet job! I used to work for a Toyota Dealer. Parts are not cheap! Probably the most expensive parts in the industry. If you ever wanted to sell that thing, I can tell you that you could easily get at least 10 grand for it, probably more. If it gets slow up there, you may want to think about that for a little extra money.

Hey Peter a guy got to make a penny where he can. Restoring this old stuff takes a lot of pennies. :D Thanks for the kind words

Man you don't have an easy job Andy. I think this was the first and the last restoration on a forklift for me and your right. Parts for these Toyota's are priced crazy. I did manage to get some after market stuff for it to ease the pain. It haven't been slow here in the last 14 years I've been in business and I hope it don't for another few years. Glad you like it and thanks for the compliment sir.

The aluminum checkered plate is held on with aluminum rivets but the rear light bar and front sun visor is bolted on with threaded inserts. Now that you all know how I'm financing my restorations with the parking meter take a look at what it cost to park here :D

That is AWESOME!

Now I have something to aspire to when I get around to rebuilding my Yale diesel forklift. I especially like how you did the brake lights and warning strobe mount with diamondplate. Did you put in turnsignals as well?

Fantastic job!

Blast I fabricated the box to put the lights in. They are actuall all strobe lights. The two outer ones are LED strobes and the center one is a regular strobe. I attached a short video os it running at night and there's also a link to my buddies site where I posted photo's of how I fabricated the light bar and a few other things. Now you'll have a few ideas for your yale :D Thanks man, happy to know you enjoyed viewing it.

Hey Matt. Thanks for your kind words. I'm around it's just that I don't have much to post that's tractor related because I only use my tractor in the winter so just so that you guys don't forget me I decided to post on my lift. We all know this is the best site on the net. I'm still adding some custom stuff to the forklift so I'll have to post an update soon. It's kind of funny but we see people comming in our yard to snap photo's of the lift. There either laughing at it or enjoying seeing it. Nice to see your still around here. Stay well. Paul

Thanks Bill. I'm actually thinking about doing something with the tractors exhaust. I'll post when I do. Today I built a custom box for the forklift. I'll just add a link to it if anyone would like to view it. Thanks again Bill.
