Good Job.

Way to getthe steel plate tight against the tubing is to have some one to hit the hot weld (when still red) so the plate is hard against the tube. this stops the rattle.

Personally I would have placed rubber bushing at the ends of the stays. Gives flexablety in assemble and when you hit something gives a bit if there is any twisting or anything like that.

Second hand car bushing would be good enough.

Keep up the good work.

First time out on the 5hr mowing job around my church with the new canopy. It sure was nice not being sunburned at the end of the job!

If I were you I'd mount a piece of insulation board underneath the canopy. It really cuts down on the heat reflection on a hot day. Or even some plywood will do the trick.

I've thought about that. I'm not sure how I would do it and make it decent looking.

You may just have to cut and fit several pieces of plywood to fit. I would use some type of construction adhesive to hold it in place. Paint it black.

yep, I used cheap osb plywood unde rone of my canopies, and under the other I use dthe blue insulation board.

construction adhesive worked on both.. though i did add clips to the osb using 1/2" angle iron, since it was a canopy I made and didn't mind weldignthe tabs in.

I sprayed expanding foam on underneath of my Original Cab unit. The only thing different I would do is I would use the non expanding foam or at least the small expanding foam and then after spraying it I would put a piece of plastic over the entire sprayed area to get a smoother looking finish. Either way using the spray foam , blue board insulation or plywood OSB ,whatever it helps to keep heat out in summer and helps keep cab warmer in winter..
Good luck on what you choose.
