Reminds me of the call I made to my local insurance agent. I dialed the regular number, and knew I wasn't going to be happy about this call, as the name was changed, as they had been acquired by a large insurance agency called EPIC, but the recording assured me the I would receive the same personal service from the same local people. But, it took navigating through three levels of menus to finally get to talk to a human, instead of a human answering the phone and connecting me to my agent. When I did get connected, she was using a speaker phone or something, and I finally had to tell her to pick up the phone so I could understand her with out the horrible acoustics, was like talking through a pipe.
I asked what the cost would be to insure an '17, '18 or '19 Tahoe compared to what my car and pickup cost now. The Tahoe would fill in for both the car and truck, and be one less vehicle to insure, plate and maintain. So then we have to go through verifying all the info on all my present vehicles, four of them, then she needs the VIN of the vehicle I may be adding, which I don't have, as I'm just looking at Tahoes, and asking a dozen more questions. After five minutes of clacking on the keyboard she finally says my new premium would be so much, and I'm presently paying ~$300 more than that.
I've been insured there since the 70s, but it looks like I'm going to look for a new agent, as there are a few small ones still around.
