Customer service??

I routinely make calls for customer service knowing I am talking to someone working from home in a far away counrty. I can hear chickens clucking, roosters, goats.

I like it when you give them your name and they call you “Mr. (first name)” and you have no idea how to pronounce their name.

So many Philippines now and not as many India it seems

I had the misfortune to talk to a call center a couple of days ago..
They’re giving these women
“American” sounding names so u feel at ease trying to talk to them..
The poor girl I “talked to” the other day was named ROOT..??
I’m SURE it was supposed to be RUTH, but I guess her tongue didn’t work like that.??
I had to call back.. after asking her name for the 4th time just for laughs, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t hear what she was saying.!!

I always ask how is the weather at I.T. Park Cebu and never fails to get a reaction… sometimes terror and other times a short reply…

Don't know about that liquor store's situation but when unemployment is this low, sometimes hiring the unqualified is better than nothing. It probably gives some of the reluctant hires a chance to get experience and life skills. But yeah, some hires just need a place to hang out until they win their lottery.

??? Store closings, restaurant closings, business closings, layoffs….where are these magical full time, employment opportunities you speak of? Fluent American with a valid drivers license…….another tough one to pull.
