Doug I agree with you that the looks/aesthetics of the tractor play an important part in the buying decision. Most people gravitate toward conventional things, why do you think so many homes today are clad with taupe vinyl siding? Many people don't want to stand out, and those who do, often choose to stand out in a normal way.

The unusual person is often shunned, the interesting thing I've seen and read while doing research prior to buying my newest tractor was that many people imply that PT tractors are mere toys not to be take seriously when in fact they are very capable machines that can likely outwork most other machines available. Many of those who defend PT seem to almost evangilize the virtures of the machines, which seems to be no different than those who scream BUY ORANGE! in the Kubota forum or scream BUY THE RIGHT ORANGE in the Kioti forum; the reality is the Kubota & Kioti (et al) screamers seem to scream for the sake of brand loyalty while the PT evangalists seem to scream out the virutes of their equipment.

Me, I recognize that the hood on my Kubota blocks my view when using the FEL and I complain about it. . . my NH is a great machine but my knee turns off the lights when I spin in my seat to see behind me, and even my brand new Ventrac has its warts (seems to guzzle gas). But I am glad to evangilze about the brands I own if I can do so in an objective manner, which I try to do.

I have not used the teeth as yet (no need) but they do fold up. Remove one set of bolts to lower then replace bolts and your ready to start digging.

<font color="red"> Well, if that was indeed an invitation ... thank you very much. Don't ya hate it when other folks invite strangers to YOUR house! Should I decide to take you up on it, I'll let Charlie know!

It is indeed but maybe I'm infringing a bit on Charlie's territory here. Maybe I'd better let him speak for me /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Oh, by the way - did Bubenberg tell you how much of your money he spent in Tazewell a couple of weeks ago? Since I've been appointed your social secretary, he took over as Chancellor of your Exchequer. We stand ready to serve. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
