Hi...

I just registered and I'm wanting to tap anyone's brain as to whether to consider buying a DR Leaf and Lawn Vacuum
13.74 Pro-XL, Tow-Behind or a Cyclone Rake XL or Z-10.

Thanks for any insight you can pass on.

I've got a Cyclone Rake Commander and it really has a very strong vacuum. It picks up leaves, grass, bricks, small dogs, and tools equally well. It really mulches the leaves, reducing the volume greatly. The flexible impeller blade is virtually indestructible, and I like the removable engine module. There are some things that I don't like about it. First, the wheels are full-castoring, and make maneuvering it very difficult when not mounted on your lawn mower tractor (trying to store it in the garage after unmounting it from the tractor). Second, because it has a rigid two-point mount to the lawn mower, it is very difficult to maneuver in tight areas. With the castor wheels, it swings a big arc when turning. I frequently underestimate the the area required to turn which frequently results in the back end hitting a tree or my wife's car. The advantage is that you will never jackknife the rig and damage the vacuum hose going from the mower discharge to the Cyclone suction fan. If you have mostly long straight runs in a fairly big area, it's really an extremely efficient machine.
