Does anyone have a good source of hydraulic cylinders, I need a couple of single acting cylinders with 6 to 10 inches of travel, all I can find are dual acting and they are too pricey for my project
Thanks in advance

Surpluscenter.com usually has a selection of them at decent prices.

Plow turn cylinders may work for you and they are usually less than $60. You did not say what bore size you need. CJ

I heard that dual acting cylinders CAN be made into single acting cylinders. The rod port side is simply vented with a proper fitting to let air in & out. Call a hydraulic shop to confirm.

Yea, if you are still looking, what diameter do you need?

Snowplow cylinders come in 8" and 10" lengths, but are 1.5 and 2" diameter usually, and just thru-holes for mounting.

I have used DA cylinders with a vent plug in the rod side for SA applications also.
