Guys, I'm almost sorry I started this post. The two posts about this all sounding like BS and something about spinning into the ground really ticked me off. I took them as being directed towards me, the initiator of this thread, not Junkman who thought they were somehow aimed at him.
I took that as someone calling me a liar just because I couldn't post pics of what I was describing. I even explained that the reason I couldn't is that I had already touched them up. I even tried to "borrow" some pics from the thread on connecting a rear work light, because pics of two different tractors in that thread showed the same kind of rust I was describing. Alas, I couldn't get the pics to work in my post.
I don't like to be called in essence a liar, and I started to rebutt, but then thought better of it because I didn't want a great forum to be drug down into belittling and name calling. I just bit my tongue and decided to let it lay.
I'd like to just agree to disagree. I feel I should have gotten better quality for what to me is a lot of money. I know it isn't going to stop the tractor from doing its job.
Someone also said I have done nothing but complain. This is true, but let me explain. I spent over $12,000 to replace my old Cub Cadet because the HST was acting weird and didn't want to stop when pulled into neutral. So, here I am with this brand new Kubota...which won't stop when I take my foot off the pedal!!! The other major aggravation I have experienced is the self-changing cutting height adjustment. I'm sorry, but these are two basic things that the whole function of the tractor depends on and that are used continuously. It's not like I occasionally run into a drink container that won't fit into the cup holder or something of that nature.
I should have maybe complained to Kubota or the dealer rather than on here, but I was 1.) trying to get a feel for whether others were experiencing the same type problems, and 2.) venting. I will be talking to the dealer and/or Kubota.
Again, sorry this thread I started veered off in a bad direction. Keep up the great forum.
