A-Plus. I respect you for making it a Family project. Quality time definitely beats Quantity time any day. A-Plus also for the Craftsmanship.:)

You can tell her for me that's one heck of a nice job

You can also tell her I said she'll make more money as a carpenter;)

Awesome project! Very nice design that should last a long time. And very well built. You both will no doubt remember this for a very long time.

Nice Bridge, looks like a small irrigation ditch it crosses, is that right? You guys did an awesome job there!

Are you guys planning on painting or staining it? I have a white bridge crossing our irrigation ditch but it's in need of fresh paint. That's one of next years projects for me. Love the little bridges, they really spiff up a place. ;)

Really cool!

I have a real drive to build an arch based on the ancient "rainbow bridge" in China. They used logs, but I want to try a small version using 2X4s.

Bridges normally weigh much more than the live load they are capable of carrying. This design will actually support many times its own weight, without failing.

This 3' model, built entirely from soft, 1/4"x3/4" cedar lath, for example, easily holds both girls even though it's only pinned together with a dozen brads, not properly assembled, and a bit wobbly with 226 lbs. on it. The bridge model weighs 3.5 lbs.

Does she (have you taught her how to) use the tractor, too?

Aint' pvc great for making curves?

Y'all did a nice job, I need to build one too...currently walking across a 8x8x16' beam to get to the sawmill & chicken house. It's real interesting when there is ice and snow:laughing: You are fortunate your daughter has the interest, mine would always start out eager & helping, then just kinda disappear after about an hour into a project:cool:

Awesome job. I love seeing people take time to do stuff with the kids. Makes for great memories. I still need to post a thread about my chicken coop project which my daughters and I finally painted a month ago. Had a great time with the kids and the work went much faster.
