If you haven't already you are going to want to get a hold of a good set of mics and telescoping gauges. Then go through and check everything. Use this time to clean, check and measure your parts. Specifically your head for warpage. You don't want anything sneaking up behind you and holding your project up. A warped head is a big one. Flywheel surface? Also, on my rebuilds I try to pressure lube before starting. Where you go in depends on the engine. But you can go into an oil sending unit galley. I have made my pressure lube out of new propane tanks. In a nut shell fill it with oil pressurize tank with air, pump through a hose into the oil galley. No pics of it, kid loaned mine never to be seen again.
