Not wasting any time at this point. Might be ready to fire by Friday.

Well, I must say there have been a few parts where it has taken me way longer than it should have to put on. The steel hydraulic lines are like a puzzle. I have those sorted out now.

Tonight I took a step backwards. The wiring harness passes through the fuel tank support. The fuel tank is hanging over the valve cover. I need to adjust the valves, so it all had to come back off tonight. I have help on the way tomorrow night to adjust the valves, then it's a marathon night to get everything else done so I can fire her Saturday evening/afternoon when I get home.

I have to pick up another gallon of oil, oil filter and fuel filter also.

Fingers crossed.

Maybe I missed it, but did you get a block heater installed?

Nice that you are sauntering down the home stretch toward the finish line.

This thread stands as a fine example of overcoming adversity - having the fortitude to stare down a tough situation and doing what's needed to put it right. Good for you. Thanks for the inspiration! Dick B

Yes. It was much easier to install the block heater with the engine removed. I should have done that in the first place!:mur:

Too funny! U mean the gas tank must be removed to adjust valves?

That's good to hear. I can't imaging not having one if you need to use it on some of the really cold days. Mine does such a great job I end up using it more than I have to. It make the engine purr like it's summer, rather than taking 20 minutes to get up to temperature.
Good luck on your final steps.
