Damaged lines

/ Damaged lines #11
Bill,

I checked mine also after beechwood mentioned it. I have minor cutting from the opening in the front. My thoughts are the same as toolz_not_toyz. I wrapped mine for now with thick electrical tape after rearranging the hose's. When I get the time (a break from plowing snow) I was thinking of taking a thick rubber hose cutting it down the middle and lining the inside of the opening with it. I may drill a few very tiny holes with screws to hold it in place where it meets. If that doesn't work then I plan to go with J.J.'s suggestion.

Automotive rubber seal materials come to mind here. Or automotive flexible trim (like the trim that covers the edges of the ROPS canopy). Add some adhesive and your done. No drilling required.

I too am glad that this problem was pointed out. I'll put the fix on my mental list of upgrades.

Ya, that sounds like a winner, maybe I will give that a shot first. Thanks for the idea. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I finally got around to looking at the hoses and am glad I did!!! Another 50 hours and I would have had a mess to deal with. I took a piece of rubber hose(I think it may have been a mower gas line??) and slit it down one side..cut the lenght to fit the opening and slid the hose up to cover the sharp edge....I'm hoping they'll stay in place with the pressure of the PT hoses against them. Were a fairly tight fit. This is something PT has to address in the future! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
