Does anyone know anything about them? Are they any good?
Danuser web site says they made them in 1977/78 but they have no pictures.
Does anyone have any pictures?
I see one coming up in an auction and I'm wondering if I should make time to go.
Let me know.
Thanks
Zipper.

I have never seen a Danuser log splitter, but I have never seen anything Danuser that wasn't well built. They have always built top of the line products.

I picked up the same info from the Danuser Website; hadn't realized that they ever made a log splitter. I don't know anything about them, but I have a Danuser G20/40 PHD and it is a Moose. I can't figure out what you could do differently to make it any better from the point of view of either safety or durability.

Has anyone even heard of someone else owning one of these?

Hey Zipper, I have one of those splitters. I acquiered it from a relative that passed on. It is well made and I have it around for a back up to my trusty Lickity Splitter. It would be OK for occassional use. It is slow and the control valve is momentary each direction which means that you need to hold the valve in position to make the ram travel each direction and then it self-centers. It ties up one hand all the time. They are simple and very well made, though. I could send some pictures tomorrow if you want. I believe I may also have the owners manual.

That would be great. The auction is this weekend. With that I could decide if I would go and how much I would be willing to pay.
Thanks

There should be a setting on your camera to eliminate that date from being pasted onto your images.

Thanks HODAK. It look o.k.. I guess it depends what it goes for. I may split 10 cords a year. I'm sure it would handle that.
Thanks again for taking the time to take and post the pic's.

Tried to post earlier and I see it didn't go through. Good luck bidding and if you need a copy of the manual, let me know because I think I have one.

Will do. I'll post what it goes for, even if it's not me that gets it.
Thanks again.

Hi, I see you may have a manual for the Danuser wood splitter. Mine blew a seal and a manual would be helpful. Just the diagram page would be great. thanks

The Danuser folks in Fulton, MO are extremely helpful dealing with questions (and parts) on discontinued machinery. They recently provided me an Owner's Manual for my 1973 Danuser post driver. Phone number is: 573.642.2246
