Took some photos yesterday of signs, "slow moving farm equipment may be on this road", a tractor sign like in my sig., followed by "70 MPH Limit" sign...

On a four lane divided highway Monday driving home from PA I came around one of the giant self propelled sprayers taking up much of the curb and the right lane. I slowed way down to pass on the left and almost got rearended by some fool who saw no reason to slow down. The sprayer driver waved at me in thanks.
We sure have poor driver training in this country. People do the stupidest, most impatient things with their cars, think they have the number one right out on the road.
We all have to share the road and I like getting fed so let's not run over the farmers.

Is it possible the tractor was on the right shoulder and wanted to turn left at the road crossing? The baler would have obscured his rear ward vision and he could have turned left without thinking to look over his shoulder for passing traffic.
