De-Detenting the Kioti rear remote valve

/ De-Detenting the Kioti rear remote valve #21
Rick Wallace called, he's sending me gratis the white tractor kit to make the remote detent; kioti didn't have that kit but Bobcat does. Pretty good guy!

A moderate long talk...IMHO it was just one incident where Rick was outspoken basically in favor of the customer, which caused Kioti to imagine reasons to drop him.

I 'rented' one of Rick's mechanics when I had my remotes installed.. one has a detent and the other doesn't.

Funny Mike..

Some attachments need a detent, I think I'd just get used to it.

Great timing on this post. My valve jammed up and I took it apart 2 weeks ago.

How do I get it back together? I can not get the barel shapped body over the rod with the ball berings and get it to screw back on. The ball bearings keep it from going in far enough to get it to seat and screw back on.

Any tips? Or if I don't put them back (bearings) how would I keep it engauged for my backhoe?

Thanks

Mark

Can you take some pictures of the detent, with spring and balls?

If you don't fix the detent situation, then you will have to bungy the lever open.

Here's the instructions from the kit Rick Wallace sent me. It is to convert a non detent to a detent remote.

Thanks for posting the instructions Mike. Mine still work but it's always nice to have some help when you have to dig in.

Not sure if this helps, but I had a problem keeping a detent ball in place during assembly (I think it was on a Cub transmission) until I slobbered it up with grease first.
