Used it for 3 hours today, great cut, was just concerned about hitting something when I turned, just not used to the rear steering I guess. It mowed the ditch banks real good. Changed my mowing patterns a little bit to work with this machine instead of the zd. I believe I will be greasing the mower wheels a little more than the zd to ensure proper maintenance. Side discharge was not a problem today even with the wind, but it might of been better with the read discharge. I am happy with what I purchased.

Are the ditch banks steep?

Good report. How do you like it compared to the ZD326?

It is a smoother ride than the zd326, but you (for me) really have to pay attention to your turning because of the rear steering. Overall I am glad I did it. The cut is just as good or better, mt mother in law gave the seal of approval by saying it had a good cut. Mowed her 4 acres yesterday. And I actually shaved off a little time. Mowed most of it in low range, it really goes fast in high range.

Yes the ditches are steep. A little puckering going on first time, but it did great.

You will be amazed just how steep the F can operate and not be "tippy". It will take a while to get totally comfortable with it, but it's so capable it will be scary to others watching you. I've got more than one hill that are difficult to walk up and the F handles it with ease, even sideways.

It also goes pretty fast in low range. I never take mine out of low range unless I'm on a paved street. You'll quickly get used to the rear end moving around behind you and come to appreciate it. You'll cut even more time after you get more familiar with it.:cool2: I also run at near full throttle after the first 50 hours break in and when grass is really high and tough in the fall I run at full throttle and can see the difference in cut.

Right now I vary my speed and throttle control when mowing, and that is true times will go down as I get the zero turn out of my mind when mowing. Reducing tire pressure to aroun 15 lbs helped the ride.
