Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

HMD,

Any idea on price for the backhoe?

This is going to be the new 'must have' implement. I didn't bother with the Front End Loader but would buy a backhoe in a heartbeat. I see them as being far more useful for the kind of jobs I have on hand to do.

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

Patrick,
Unfortunately, backhoe can not be bought seperately for the BX2000. Kubota will not be making a backhoe for the BX2000 because the frame is not set up for it, and Kubota does not recommend putting any backhoe on the tractor. What the BX22 is a tractor/ loader/ backhoe combination... all or nothing, so you can not get the backhoe without he loader. List price for the package ranges from $16,900 to the low $17K range depending on options (valve, tires and bucket options). Maybe time to trade in the BX2200.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

Wow, it sure seems like a marketing mistake to leave all the BX2200 owners out in the cold like that. They MUST be planning some sort of retro fit eventually.

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

I don't believe Kubota had an idea of the number of people that would want them 5 years ago when they were building the tractor that we would be wanting a backhoe for that tractor. They were shocked enough over how many they have sold.

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

I doubt that, really... there's only so much you can do with a tractor that small. As with other BT series backhoes, I imagine the BT600 isn't going to fit anything other than the BX22, unless another subcompact TLB were to be introduced by Kubota in the future.

Maybe Art or Marie could answer these questions about the BX22? If the info is available...

- Is the loader detatchable?
- Is a MMM compatible? With the backhoe installed?
- Is the loader a new model or the LA211, and does it offer any increase in performance?

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

Loader is a LA210...
All implements that work with the BX2200 work with the BX22. Quick attach loader. No tools required with any of the implements. Will have to check the loader performance specs... I'll let you know later

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

Given:

1. The number of BX owners (large)

2. The fact that the engineering has already been done for any after-market backhoe maker to see on the BX22

3. The BX22 will prove whether or not there is a market for a small Tractor-Loader-Backhoe (TLB) -- and Kubota must have done market research before launching it!

I think that we'll see after-market backhoes for the BX in the next few months.

It's the American way!!

Re: Dealer Convention - BX Backhoe

Patrick,
Wish it was that easy.... unfortunately, with the BX22, they have modified the frame to strengthen it for the backhoe... without those modifications, it seems that you would be compromising the tractor. Just MHO.
