Dealer Dealing with Rude Dealers

Kill him, eat his brains from his skull like a grapfruit!
(was that too harsh?)
I really must get back to my anger management classes.

I just called the same dealer today and he gave me the same line. I agree that they will not be getting my business! I am in sales myself and this is not how to treat people if you want their business.

I got my Kubota from Crytzers Equipment in Kittanning. They weren't the lowest price, but took a lot of time going over everything and the salesman (owner's son) delivered it. Rumor has it that the dealer that will beat all prices has some financial trouble and will sell low just to keep money flowing.

Thanks for the support all. I thought maybe I was crossing some invisible line in negotiating the price. This guy seemed to have some trouble with haggling. If he would have given me his bottom line right from the start, he wouldn`t be bothered by my calls. Of course, that`s not how dealing is done tho. Looks like he lost 2 sales this week. :) Getting close to a purchase, can`t wait.

That would be to merciful. I have other ideas that probably shouldn`t be posted here. :)

I mailed a page long dissertation to the owner of the dealer explaining to him the sale that his salesman cost him. I included all rude comments, etc. I also included a polaroid of Myself on my new kubota, with the sign of the dealer that I bought it from in the background. :)

I REALLY wanted to drive there with my new Kubota on the trailer, but it would have been a 4 hour drive, and that ******* wasn't worth wasting 4 hours of my life...again!

The king of venting concures!
FrankF15,
I can't believe you were able to get a good price ot Rittenaurs. I could walk to that shop. They were hundreds more than the one I ended up at. I wonder if dealers low ball guys from out of town because they know they 1.) have to intice the customer to make the trip, and 2.) they know they wont get alot of shots at the sale. Anyways, they seem like a pretty good dealer overall.

Rude dealers? Ain't no such thing in my world. If a dealer is rude to me they ain't my dealer at all but just another business to pass on the way to a REAL dealer who wants to earn my money.

rogue: think i might need to attend anger management classes with u. but rittenhours did fine by me. can't tell u why , but i was happy.supprised they would not be more interested in a local buyer, u would be more apt to buy parts and service, where as i was a one shot deal. go figure.

I do think they are a good dealer in general. They are good sized and I don't think they are going out of bussiness any time soon. Tony wanted to put me on a T1760 and made me feel (unintentionally I'm sure) silly for wanting a TG or G. I wanted a more heavy duty unit with more capability. He was hard wired to the : "for 1/2 acre you get a T 15xx for 3/4 acre you get a T1760" I have a hair over 3/4 but I wanted a BX2200. He priced it but he was at 10,300 (60"mmm) and I got it for 9,800. I had a freind who was getting one too and so we did a "how much for two" deal.
My BX is in the shop for a main fuel tank. They got the tank but the washer or gasket or something or other is back ordered. My dealer said they put in a code red emergency order which he claimes costs him more but he will eat it. Uh huh... ok. Whatever. I suppose he is telling the truth but I just am really cynical anymore.
I think though that i like my dealer. He seems to be very "real". No flash just down to earth. the prices are good and he took care of me on a few issues. The only thing that bothers me is the oversights on some small issues but I think I overreated to them. When you spend as much for a lawnmower (tractor) to cut 3/4 acre as you would for a car, well you get the picture.
