Do you happen to know which specific model of 3-spool valve is used on the 422/425? They offer more than one...

The 422 and 425 used the 1637 valve.
The valve TAG # should be 156B2294 ( Sauer Danfoss number )

The 180 used the 1627 valve.

This information should be verified through PowerTrac....IF they are willing to give out the Sauer Danfoss tag#. They have a habit of blacking out or removing the OEM tags on the White wheel motors and the control valves.

If I'm not mistaken the larger PT's ( 1430 & up ) used the same Sauer Danfoss series valve.( 1637 ) Covering model years 2002 through mid to late 2000's. I don't know if PowerTrac uses the same valves on their new PT units.

The pool cue length articulated linkage joystick  that is used on the 422 & up is a PT design ( not sauer danfoss )

Thanks for the details! This is really helpful.

I've had to clean out the check valves on the detent, but since then it has been smooth sailing. (Knock on wood!)

All the best,

Peter

SAUER DANFOSS VALVES

The Sauer Danfoss 1600 series valves used on the PT 180, 422,425, Etc. is now being manufactured and supplied by Quality Control Corp. Sauer Danfoss no longer handles them.

Ditto the above -- Thanks for the details.

It sounds like I should try to clean out the detent valve on mine...

Meanwhile, I was hoping to see that there were cable controls available for the Aux PTO valve, but that doesn't appear to be the case. A cable control, mounted to the dashboard on the left of the steering wheel (instead of my shadetree engineering) would be the "cat's meow..."

Thanks again, Beech! We miss your regular contributions here -- as you "pushed the PT envelope" when you had one...

Thanks Kent.
When I converted the 2 spool (1627 ) on the 180 over to the 3 spool (1637 )
to add AUX. HYD's to run my minihoe & Hyd. boom lift I was going to mount the two spool OEM valve to the left side of the steering console for future AUX HYD. hookup's at the rear of the PT, but I never got around to it. I was going hook it up VIA. the power beyond port
on the right side of the control valve...as you're facing the control valve handles from the operators seat.

Thanks for all of the good information, I'll pass it along to my neighbor he own a hydrolic shop. I plow out his snow for him. I had to change the coils on my Robin this winter, engine was hard to start and started popping through the carb. We had to pull the engine to change them but, starts and runs good now I have over 1300 hours on it.
