Welcome. The Mahindra ia a great tractor. If you want even more operator space, go to the 3215. It runs the same size hoe, but is a little nicer...also a little more money. The Kubota is very nice as well, but is built a little lighter, although with a lot of HP.

dar,
I think price is reasonable since it includes the BH. I just convinced a friend of mine to buy a tractor. I picked it up for him since he doesn't have a trailer. He got the 2615HST w/ loader two weeks ago for about 15,500. 20,595 isn't bad considering the price of adding a BH later. I should have bought mine w/BH. I Could have got a better deal as a package when new. Eventually I'll get the BH for mine but haven't been able to justify the cost yet.

PS welcome to the group and in the future don't leave your caps lock on. It makes others think you are yelling.

dar,
Can't go wrong with the 2615, as george stated the price sounds fair and probably not far off on the B7800 either. The two tractors are fairly compairable. I'm biased so I'd go with the 2615 or as Dave stated go a little bigger if it's within your buget, a little extra H.P. never hurts!:D
When I first started looking at Mahindra I was a little hesitant but one key selling point for me was the 15 series being made by Mitsubishi for Mahindra. Now that being said and knowing what I know today I wouldn't be afraid of any model. The 2615 just fits me best! Good luck!

Whoops! gotta correct myself, all I looked at before was PTO HP. The B7800 is a 4 cyl. while the 2615 is a 3 cyl. probably the difference in price. However the 2615 out weighs the B7800 by about 700 lbs. and has a higher 3 pt. lift capacity. Kinda surprised someone hadn't corrected me already!

You might find a leftover 3015 and get a deal on it setup like you want. That would get you the extra hp and I bet since it's being replaced dealers are wanting to move them. It would add about 300lbs. to total weight, but gain you about 8 hp and a HST tranny. You could even add a 8ft Woods groundbreaker backhoe and have a real nice setup! I'd bet you could still come in under the price of the Bota and in my opinion have the best small tractor backhoe setup available for the money! Not knocking Bradco just like the curved boom and deeper digging depth of the Woods.

The factory backhoe for the 3015 is a 3710, digs 7'10", made by KMW. Nice unit. I do like the looks of the Woods also, the curved boom is a good idea.

As I tell everybody, Do what you want to do.....Its your money..........BUT, I also say, You will NOT go wrong with a Mahindra.............They are very reliable and strong-built tractors...........But, I ALSO know that the tractor is only as good as the dealer that it comes from........Understand?.....I hope I didn't confuse ya' my friend.......What I mean is to make sure that you are buying from a good dealership..........THAT makes a world of difference.......Try to develop a relationship with them...........If they're any good, they'll treat you just as good as you treat them- if not better.

Me personally, I don't really like the HST transmissions on ANY make of tractor.........I prefer the regular ole' gear drive........Normally, 8 forward and 2 reverse gears...........Thats why I like the Mahindra "00" series and the 3325 and 3525 tractors..........

I have a 97' Mahindra 485 DI......I am the 3rd owner........February 16, 2007 will make 2 wonderful years.........It has 1180 hrs. on it.........I have put 301 hours on it since February 16, 2005 til' right now.........As tuff as that tractor is, I KNOW i'll have many, many more hours to get out of it........

I was skeptical about buying it at first.........But thats when the DEALER convinced me that he would back it 100%.........And to this day, he has done so, with what little things I needed (as far as a few minor parts).

I know that i've done rattled off of the subject but the bottom line is like I said earlier...........PICK A GOOD DEALER......Ask him to give you references to customers......Call them........See what their experience has been with them.........THEN make your decision........

You've already took step 1 of 3 steps, and that is choosing a Mahindra (which happens to be the choice that I like best!).......step #2 is deciding who to buy from.............And step #3 is "signing your name on the dotted line!", (which happens to be the only step I dislike)!..

Good luck and keep us posted,

Travis R
