I have been trying to get our "herd" on camera for a while, but they are a bit shy! I saw 7 or 8 one morning, but never seem to have the camera handy. Good job! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Latimer Materials has a sand mine in Ambrose Texas. Carpenter's Bluff Rd runs along it. He's converted some of the used up land to marsh and pasture. He's also imported some absolutely spectacular elk.

This group of three was about fifty yards off the road. I parked Lucy and grabbed the Sony FD97. Of course they kept their heads down more interested in food than the fool in the johnson grass so excited he was almost peeing his pants.

I'd let out my best grunt--primal scream when I was focused on one of these hunks. I got lucky as you can see. They humored me for about fifteen shots. Like I said, I was lucky.

They will end up on some fool's wall as a momento of his or her courage and skill. The local scuttlebutt is it only takes three thousand dollars and you can do with a rifle what I did with a camera.
