Deere 110 tlb hydraulic temp gauge question

I mow with a 749 about three acres, can't imagine using my 110 for that purpose. That has to be tough on your lawn.

My 2004 110 sounds the same as the rest of yours. About the only thing that moves the gauge is mowing or running up and down the road in high range pulling a trailer. If the trailer is heavy enough the gauge really moves when climbing long hills. Never seen it go past the half way point. In the winter it seems impossible to get the temp gauge to move at all.

Not really. A 110 without the hoe and front bucket (or cab) is quite light, especially considering the ground pressure exerted since the tires are so wide. And since its a finish mower, all weight is off the three point when you are cutting. If you could take off the loader arms it be even better. Turning radius is great and you have plenty of power. Its essentially the same as mowing with a 4600 deere. I do all my trimming with a 1970s wheel horse which will hopefully be replaced with a 455 or x7 series later on.

A 110 without the hoe on back is about 6000 lbs with front bucket fwiw.

Correct. Drop the front bucket and the weight biasing goes away. Youre roughly 5400 pounds, which given how much youre spreading the weight out with the big tires, does nothing to the lawn. Its pretty fun if the grass is wet because you can directional break and not tear anything up.

I am not using it, but I did buy an older JD 25a offset fail mower that needs some tlc, so eventually a 25a will be used for the rough(er) stuff. I love my scag for my yard

I ran my MX6 with the 110 before buying the 4520, did a good job with it.
