Looking for a used compact with loader to do some grading. Would like to be able to rent or buy a standard PHD for a few things as well.

Will a 755 handle a full sized/standard post hole digger/auger?

If not how about the 855 or 955?

Thanks for your input

Not sure what you mean by "standard" but the 755 should handle most PHD. Might be limited by length of the auger due to wheel size.
Can control rate of digging my 3 ph lowering rate.

I don't remember the lift height on the 3-point of the 755, but it's going to be less than most, which as beenthere noted, will limit auger lenght capacity. But in addition to this, the 755 is only 15 hp at the PTO, so you'll be limited on auger diameter as well.

Where there's a will, there's a way, but it doesn't seem ideal.

I suspect that you can bore holes with a smaller auger with proper technique. Watch the video and see what you think.

I tried a Harbor Freight 2 stroke gas auger. I can’t recommend that to anyone.

Bigger is better when it comes to pulling the auger out of the ground too. No matter how careful you are or how slow you try to go, the auger will get a good bite and drill deep before you can catch it. You can see the frame on the PHD bend when you're trying to pull them out of the ground using the 3 point hitch.
