I'm wondering about all those Shibaura engines in the NH compacts and I believe it is the TC30 that is still being built by Shibaura. If you look at Mr. Messicks posts there is a great deal of anti Deere sentiment.

Don't get me wrong, I think Deere makes a respectable product. I just think its over priced and not of the quality that they say. Their claim that stuff is made in the US is to my knowledge, not true. Its simply assembled in the US. Not to say that everything is this way, but a bulk of it is. Funny thing is that more and more Kubota is actually being built in the US. Japanese tractor company is building here, American tractor company is building in Japan... ironic.

I can't keep track of New Hollands sourcing any better than I can Deeres. The TC engine is not a Shibaura, its an Inveco. Same that they have been using for years. The TC30 is a Shibarura design... not one that I am fond of myself. Its a solid tractor, its just technologicly very behind.

I defentialy do have anti-deere sentiments. Our dealership has been really beating them to death over the last few years and thats leading me to my conclusions. Not to offend anyone, we all know that in the end each tractor will get the job done. Sorry if I raised some eyebrows.

Now I'm really confused why I am I being brought into this disucssion? I like Yanmar and Mazda. Oh and Deere to most of the time! I don't have a problem that Deere uses Yanmar parts in out 970s and 990s I like it a lot.

As far as I know they only say that when it is true.
The JD 4100's are assembled in Augusta Georgia and John states that. They do not say they are made in Augusta but assembled in Augusta.
Anything else would be a flat out lie.

You are wrong. See the attached picture. I just took that picture at my local New Holland dealer. It is the engine tag on a TC33D. It says Shibaura. Yes, New Holland gets their engines from Japan, just like John Deere. The tractor is built in Georgia with a Japanese engine. It is nothing to be ashamed of.

The TC30 comes entirely from Shibaura of Japan and says Made in Japan.

I would think that you would love Deere because of this. Now if the local Deere dealer was beating your socks off then maybe you should have anti Deere sentiments.
