Deere Instrument Cluster Programming Instructions - 5210, 5220, 5415 - etc

Does anyone have the instruction paperwork for how to program instrument cluster part #RE232258? It shows you how to use wiring harness part #LVB24863 to tell the cluster if the engine is 3 or 4 cylinder. It involves several steps like turning the turn signal "x" number of times. My fuel, temp, and tach gauges all move but the needles are pointing nowhere near where they should be. The hour meter works, though. I'm thinking about trying to reprogram it instead of buying a 3rd cluster for $1,000. The same cluster goes on 5210, 5310, 5410, 5510, 5220, 5320, 5420, 5520, 5415, 5615, 5715, and 5500

How close is that to RE232256? I have the book for that cluster when I installed it on my 5105. I don't remember what I had to go through to program it though.

Back in late 2011, I purchased that cluster for my 5210. I had my JD dealership program it for me. They did not charge me anything. Have you tired calling your local JD dealership?

As part of the installation of the tach there is a wiring change needed in the key switch. Did you make this change? I know things will not work right without it, as years ago I help another member and it was not until he made the wiring change that the tach worked correctly.

Not the clearest instructions, but I attached a manual I have on this.

That part # also just has fuel level, tach and temp so it might be a similar process programming both. I remember the pamphlet that came with my cluster was maybe a dozen pages and one section was for 3 cylinder engines and another was for 4 cyl engines. I'd be happy to pay you for the effort of making a copy of it.

I know I kept mine somewhere. I'll have a look tomorrow.
