Deere Pick Up Truck??

Anyone heard that John Deere is coming out with a pick up truck to compete with the Big Three??
Only will be available in green, is the word.
If this is true, it should be one heckuva vehicle if they do it right.

I've often wondered why International didn't get back into the pick-up/SUV market. And not the STX or whatever it is, I mean a real, high volume model. A retro-Scout would be very cool! Of course with gas prices maybe they've made the right decision /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Prolly would be cheaper if they made it in blue or orange.

If anything it should be a Deere package like Ford does with King Ranch and Harley-Davidson.

no, I disagree it should be a work truck, bare bones, with crank windows off the shelf square headlights, JD diesel, bulletproof gear trans and transfer case with mechanical shifter. seats covered in carrhart duck cloth. Too many manly work oreinted features to list. But gotta add real rain gutters and over 10,000 gvw to avoid all airbag BS laws.
