Keith I wasn't saying that you lied. I just thought you might have your #'s wrong was all.

I called the dealer and he said the DRW king ranch they had was sticker price of $53,000 and they sold it for $46,000. That's about where most of the KR's are going in a DRW. He said that was the only one that they had sold that was a 2005. He said they had a 250 regular wheel base in stock that was $48,000 but there were no specials on it right now. Salesman must not have seen the one that you saw or didn't know about it.

Only reason I questioned and called was because if they had one for $40k then I know a couple people that would have been in KY to buy it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I assumed the truck I saw was a 2004, but wouldn't swear to it. It sold in September, in fact it was sold the day I saw it, as I saw it outside the service bay waiting to get the final prep while the customer was doing the paperwork.

It was definitely the King Rancher, I could be mistaken on it being a 250 or a 350. I mostly recall the truck because of the leather interior, as that was what stood out the most to me. I really liked the KR's pebble grained leather and the stitching, which I suppose one might call western style.

Ford was running some tremendous rebates and incentives in September, when this truck sold. According to the signs at the dealership the incentives at that time were slated to end at the close of the month. If the truck had the same amount off as the one you called about it would have been around $42,990, which seems about what I recall.

The ad from them that came in today's paper has a 2004 F150 4X4 on sale with an MSRP of $29,825 and a sale price of $21,499. A savings of $8,300 isn't bad, if someone doesn't mind a 2004 model instead of an '05. That ad and your price kind of give a working range to take into account how much may have been knocked off the MSRP.

I checked their website, www.boydcountyford.com , to see what kind of price differential they had from similar 2004 and 2005 F350s, and the search engine for the site didn't turn up a single 2004 F250 or F350.

Keith I apologize. If it was a 2004, and if it was September it probably was, you were talking about then definitely it probably was around $40k. There was about a $1500 price increase from 04 to 05 with the king ranch package. I was talking about a 2005. I apologize that I questioned your #'s.
