They're scared to realize how many so-called Americans are willing to bypass domestic-based companies to buy foreign for a few bucks less. Seems to be no loyalty at all...

It's a race to the bottom.

This midwest american believes there is absolutly nothing wrong with getting the most value in my purchase. It will make Deere deliver more compelling value to the buyer. Without competintion they would charge more and propably not deliver an advanced machine.

Like it or not, most of us are competing in a global market place. I know that I am. There are going to be lossers and winners in the American base and with the forgien companies.

Arguing that US companies should not compete with the world, in order to protect US based companies, will only disadvantage Americans in the long run.

I'm not a Star Trek show type person. I use to watch the series some but never of the movies. I quit drinking beer 25 years ago, have gotten to like Green Tea.

O.K. I'll take the bait... I used to love Star Trek until they got into all the off shoot series (Babylon five and so on). I liked most the movies except the one Shatner did and the original TV show was BAD&%# for it's time. I was never a Treky and the only uniform I ever wore in highschool was for football and band (yes band).

As far as Dargo goes I just want to wish him a Merry Christmas and hope things go well for him and his family in '07 and beyond.
