Howdy, all!

I needed clarification since I'm not exactly a youngster :) but just found this forum. I have two tractors right now, a Kubota 5030 and a '52 Ford 8N.
I live in East Texas now, but not a Texas native. I'm learning all about ranch life and the joys, trials, and tribulations of a ranch owner and a tractor owner.

I'm looking forward to learning a LOT here.

Welcome to TBN Ed. When I first came to this site, I'll didn't know jack*&^% about a Massey Ferguson 135. I've learned a great deal. All I knew before I came here was how to drive one. We all learn here. I consider this site the Wikipedia of Tractors. Good folks and smart too.. Take care -robert

I'm relatively new to TractorByNet, but approaching 70 years... New and old. I've learned a lot here, and recently saved myself about $100 for a service call when someone told me how to do an unusual repair myself.

Welcome.

Welcome, with the 5030 you are in good shape, be sure to ballast properly to keep wheels on ground. Lots of posts on how to do this.

Welcome to the TBN forums, it is a great resource for information whether you are new or old, I have operated tractors a long time, but texasjohn provided me with some really invaluable information when I was buying and bought my L5030, he has a great write up on it. There are a lot of members from Texas, all very helpful as are embers from all over whether you are looking to get the most use out of existing equipment or buying new. I always bounce new purchases off many members here and it has really helped me, too many to mention.

Opinions will vary, but for me "new" simply means anything I recently acquired, and if it happens to be "used" and I like it well enough, I may even try to make it "new" again. :)
