As a Brit, I normally refrain from commenting on US Gun Laws (I leave it to Piers Morgan ) as our laws are so different - however reading the above and comparing it to something I read today in ZeroHedge it seems something wider is afoot:

Is that where Obama spent all the stimulus money? Buying ammo? Nobody can account for where two trillion dollars went.

I read yesterday that government agencies are ordering thousands of AR's and they are described in the purchase orders as "personal defense weapons".
