Which one?
I have a 442, hasn't run in more than 20 years, I'm thinking closer to 25. It's incomplete, the victim of a botched project to improve hydraulic function. For close to 10 years, it's sat outside unprotected. I'd call it a parts machine if anything. Question is, will I be better served trying to find somebody to buy it from me or should I scrap it with the rest of my metals in a couple of weeks?

Don't scrap it.

There a lot of guys that still use the 44x series.

It costs you NOTHING to put an ad on Craigslist. To me, the tractor should bring at least $100.00 as a parts tractor and that is a lot more than the local scrap man will pay you for it.
