Sorry, my regular forums have all been hard on engineers and OEM's lately. Seems like its an endless rant on 'crappy engineers who can't get it right' and 'why can't the OEM add this or that because everyone ELSE offers it'.
I enjoy throwing out wish lists, but its also nice when posters acknowledge that there are a LOT of constraints placed against the people creating and building these awesome machines.
My BIG wish is that Kubota would have a strong aftermarket design group that comes up with all the tools and add-ons that we discuss on the forums.
Consider Harley Davidson, who offers THOUSANDS of little accessories and options. It would be great if we have 12 different belly pans, 18 lighting options, etc... to choose from when we buy a new tractor.
My dream conversation with the Kubota AfterMarket Artist:
"Well - Andy, how would you like to dress up your
BX2350?"
"That's a good question, Zeke! I'd like to have it delivered with the chrome wheel package, Calcium filled rear tires, foam filled fronts.
I'd like the twin halogen rear light kit, with optional locking brush covers. I'd like the Armadillo skid plate package with remote filter adapter and the tough service hydraulic cooler package.
I'd also like the Rock-Off quick attach front loader bucket. Throw in the grapple bucket and front box blade.
Oh! don't forget the poly-mod conforming toolbox, tubular brush cage for the front hood, and the NO-PAIN CHAIN hook package."
"Excellent choices, if I may say so sir!"
Zeke quickly punches up the order on his smartphone.
"Now Andy, since you have purchased these options, you qualify for the platinum service package, which includes 3 years of complete scheduled maintenance, including a spring and fall well-tractor checkup. Would you like to schedule those now, or we can email you a form to schedule your appointments!"
"Thanks Zeke, email me the form."
"Anything else?"
"Oh yeah, I also want the neoprene seat and steering wheel upgrades"
"No problem."
Now THAT is a wish I'd love to see come true!
