Hey, I just got to spend 48.00 + gas getting a new hydraulic line Monday. I lost the line on Sat. but around here you wait until Monday.

Anyway, I dont know if this is the same on other 3510's or even the 4110 but when I bought it I didnt care for the way the loader hydraulics hung down under the right footstep.

pic of old set up without bottom hose

I lost the bottom hose that goes to the loader valve. I was plowing a deer plot and there was roots and crap balling up all over the place. I very well may have pinched it closed and that made it blow, I dont know.

What I do know is that I am a lot happier witth what I have now for working in the woods. That and it didnt cost a thing and only took a few min.
what it looks like now

It was 4 bolts out and 2 bolts in. The bracket for the 3 hyd lines is attached to a 3 inch offset bracket. That takes it back about 2 inches and drops it down about 2.5 inches. That bracket is now gone.

gone, unless someone can give me a real good reason why I need it

Its a quick fix and if you are working in the woods its a good idea

Just read your post & looked at your pics, my tractor isn't here at the house but I looked at some pics I have and my 4110 hoses are similar to your original setup except that the bottom hose is level with the FEL bracket along the bottom. When I get to my tractor next I'm going to look into doing your modification on mine. In 900 hours of really rough work at times, I've never damaged one of these hoses but I can see where it is possible. The one time I did do some damage was not long ago- I was boxblading a site where a building was demolished and turned-up a full 8" concrete block and it rolled under the tractor and bent my power steering filter housing up and it pinched the suction hose off about 75%. Fortunately (?) it affected the hydraulics immediately and I saw the problem and was able to bend the filter back down into position and get the hose straightened out OK. I have wondered at times since I got my tractor about those FEL hoses and their susceptibility to damage, I guess I've been very lucky.

The original position is right about level with the bottom of the loader frame angled down and slightly forward.

As you can see, pulling that offset out gets you a little more clearance and some protection from the frame itself. This way it is going to be a bit more of a PITA to change hoses, but still pretty easy.

For 90% of what I do with it there would never be a problem. Its that 10% when I am side hilling in the pucker brush where the only choice is to go over that this will help.

When I get home this evening I am going to look to make sure that no hoses are rubbing now. I didnt think to run my hands back the lines towards the transmission. I dont think that it put anything in contact with the hoses because it rotated the rear hoses down and lifted then up. They should sit in about the same place.

I will look and post.

BTW, when you mount that 1 botttom plow on that 4110, does it even know its there??? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've only had the plow on the Mahindra once, to cut a small drainage ditch across a small field, I don't do any cultivation work with it yet. I used the plow more when I had my old IH 340 Utility - I had a small garden to break and also did some initial ditching with it - this was before I bought the 4110 in early 2002 and I still lived in Tenn. on 21.5 acres. Here in Florida, I use my 4110 commercially and do mostly fill & grading work, and quite a bit of bushogging and some minor land clearing. The 4110 is definitely a strong tractor for it's size, it has amazed me at times.

I ran my hands back the hoses and there is nowhere that they rub. So I think that the fix is good.

Like I posted before, this is probably not a big deal for someone using their tractor for general farm work or maybe even construction. I know that the Deere I ran in a blacktop outfit had hoses that ran low also.

I the woods it doesnt seem like a great idea, and since it is a 15 min fix, there is no reason not to do it anyway.
