I came up with with what I thought was a good idea and did the patent thing (partly to check it hadn't been done ) before approaching I think the only people in the UK that can "approve" them (Rolltech) who do the government testing....
Initially they were keen on the plans I had but finally decided that they didn't want to go ahead because they were not sure about the quality of metal used in compacts and whether the fixing points (the 3 point linkage) was always made out of good enough metal.
For a month or so I left as another "nearly good enough idea" but then I thought hey, why not see what you guys think. Would you approach anyone else to see if its got legs? I know a few people on the forum know how to make good equipment , like pats quick hitch...
