Hazmat, thanks for your input on this. I woudn't have thought to get or use an aerator without your advice. I know I didn't get a big expensive 3-point model but if you saw the size of my lawn you would understand why. I did at least get a core aerator model instead of a just a spike aerator. I got the missing bushings from UPS today but of course I have to go out of town for 5 to 7 days.
