The issue of not getting vaccinated is deeper than that. Character has little to do with it from my observations. I have very close friends that are on the fence concerning getting vaccinated for various reasons.
I knew people who died from covid. Blaming someone else for their death isn't going to bring them back or make it easier to deal with. It makes it harder to get through.
Divisional comments like yours says something about your character does it not?
No, the issue is exactly about getting vaccinated. Either those who refuse to get vaccinated don't think they can catch Covid or after unknowingly getting infected, being asymptomatic and passing it on to others. I'm sure a lot of those who ended up dead from Covid felt the same way. Unless they have a valid medical reason not to get vaccinated, they are misinformed, scared of needles or don't give a damn about anyone else, there is no valid excuse for not getting vaccinated. Religious objections to vaccination don't wash either. All religions I am familiar with teach responsibility and concern for others. Several surveys have shown Atheists are more likely to get vaccinated than religious people. Imagine that.
I personally know of two people that thought it was a hoax or that they were too healthy to get a serious case. Now they are statistics.
From my perspective, after Covid having killed over half a million people in this country alone, anyone who had a shred common sense or empathy for his fellow men, wouldn't hesitate to do his part to help end this pandemic. But if you are too self centered or have bought into the misinformation and ignorance that is spreading as fast as the virus, then I can only hope neither they nor their family get it.
