Diesel Can Spout Mechanism Into the Tank

I've used a piece of mig welding rod. A coat hanger would work, too. Trick is to bend an "L" hook on the end that's long enough to fit into the spout. You should be able to feel contact with the parts. Seeing is better. Then just slip the "L" into the spout and carefully bring it up to the tank neck.

+1 for this with a coat hanger. It worked for me a few years ago retrieving a translucent flexible extension tube that popped off into a Kubota's tank from on of the older push-lever EPA spouts (which otherwise were pretty nice, compared to today's). You just might be able to hook yours. Otherwise, maybe Harbor Freight's combination claw-style and magnetic flexible pickup tool would work. Even if it doesn't, you'll find another use for it! 24" 2-in-1 Pickup Tool

One thing to be careful of is the float for the fuel gauge. The parts could interfere with the accuracy and you could damage it fishing around.

Good tip. Is there a schematic showing the fuel level mechanism for a Kioti RX7329PC?

Is there anything mechanical in the tank which would be damaged by engaging with the spout and/or spring?

I need to know because I have an immediate need (maple sap collecting) to use the tractor and get the spout / spring out later.

Doubt any of those parts would fit trough the filter but I'd get them out sooner than later.

You should be able to run with it in there for now, fish it out later but it might hang the gauge float so watch your fuel level. Might consider removing the gauge float when you go fishing for the spout. That extra hole will give extra access for light plus won't have to worry about hanging "fish hook" on the float and bending it.

My LS XR4046HC has a plastic filter basket that sits in the neck of the tank. Keeps anything from falling into tank but, doesn't slow down filling tank.

I'm surprised your Kioti doesn't have that?

My Kioti does not have one either and it certainly is a very good idea.

I agree with the others that there will be no harm in running it. In fact, it would be best to run the fuel down so you can see the spout to remove it.

Attached is a modification that I made to my fuel tank to make it easier to put fuel in mine. Good luck!
