Diesel Can Spout Mechanism Into the Tank

...Attached is a modification that I made to my fuel tank to make it easier to put fuel in mine. Good luck!

I wish the diesel fuel filler was located like yours. The RX7320PC is in front and adjacent to the two step stairs going into the cab. The filler tube is in an awkward position to completely empty out a can with the FEL on.

What is the modification you made? Tell me about the filler spout. Is it commercially available?

In the picture you'll see the gray plastic 'cam' that holds the fill button down on these containers. You just set it on top of the hood with the spout aimed in the tank and flip the cam down to start it filling. Without the cam, you would have to stand there and hold the button down and your finger would fatigue out after a minute or so. These type of fill containers seem to be pretty popular with TBN members, so that's why I posted the mod.

I wasn't aware that your tractor had side fill, so this type of container might not make sense. Unless you could set it on something that would allow the fill neck access to your tank fill.

Nice modification. It would seem that these type cans would be handy for tractors with fuel filler coming thru top of a flat hood. I had that on my previous Kubota B-2710. I was about to order one of the No Spill cans when I got an offer to sell the Kubota for more than I paid for it.

I think that for side tanks, like I have on my LS and New Holland, these type fuel cans would be awkward at best. Luckily I fuel tractors from a 300 gallon bulk tank.

I still haul gasoline, for Polaris Ranger and John Deere Z820A in 5 gallon cans. Again, for both of them, the No-Spill can would be a PIA, even with the mod. I have trashed all the CARB compliant crap fill nozzles and replaced with the EZ- Pour nozzles. Bought a few of them, on sale, at Tractor Supply for $6.99 last year. I can dump 5 gallons of gas in less than 60 seconds.

I can't remember the exact year, think it was 1990ish I got a spot into the tank of a JD4240. Myself and the farmer I worked for tried to get it out. Long story short we couldn't and ya that tractor is still working the fields to this day. So given that I'd say if you can't get it out don't sweat it!

My LS XR4046HC has a plastic filter basket that sits in the neck of the tank. Keeps anything from falling into tank but, doesn't slow down filling tank.

I'm surprised your Kioti doesn't have that?

Kioti's NX series has it, so maybe it's new with the more recent models or years. OrangeAgain and Sdef, I'd check with Kioti and see if the filter basket will fit your fill spouts. Can't be more than a few bucks.
