Help.Gas was dumped into my ford 4610.The tank was drained as well as the sludge bowl and filter.The injector pump was also drained and now this is my problem.I'm a new tractor guy so I'm learning as I go. please help:( how do I prime the injector?

Did you run it on gas? Gas in a diesel engine is not an uncommon error. Normally it does not cause long term harm.

Is your current problem that you need to prime the fuel pump?

I did the same thing, Drain & change every filter. Blead out injector lines. It will be fine.:)Most will not run on gas. the gas wont pass through the injectors.

thanks for your reply Army grunt,I have change filter and injector ,the problem now is I dont know how to prime the injector to gget fuel to the engine. thanks Ray

there should be a push pump and a bleeder screw on the filter housing .Open the bleeder screw and push pump plunger until all the air bubbles come out. then screw the bleeder screw back in .You should be in bussiness

You who hunts the bear, Thankyou, Yes I understand , and thank you very much. I will start at the beginning and fix my disaster. I will be back in touch to let you know the outcome. Hunt well and shoot straight.

You will be okay, My Son filled my S-10 diesel with gas and drove it home, over 10 miles. He thought about it and checked his recept..Yeap unleaded. We drained it, and filter and pumped the primer fuel pump to clean the lines. It fired up and lasted for many more years, no evident damages.I inherited over 12 gallons of gas for my mowers. Sleep well tonight..Jy.
