Gotcha. Thanks. Only diesel engine I have right now is the tractor anyway.

Some members have commented on using diesel in their tractors that is decades old. This would be better in an older tractor designed to use high sulfur fuel of course. I think if you keep water out of the fuel and treat the fuel, I think it will last a very very long time.

Got 80 gallons of off road for $1.89 a gallon. If it gets to 1.75, I'm ordering 1000 gallons to have out at our place.

I checked on the way home last night $22.9 for regular, $3.15 for diesel. I'm considering trading my gas truck for a full sized diesel, and am trying to decide if it's worth getting diesel over a gas engine. Looking at the new Nissan Titan XD with 550 lbs of torque....

Passed our local Repsol station in Aspe, Alicante, Spain today:

Diesel: 1,089€ per litre ($4.12 per gallon)
Red Diesel (rebated for agricultural tractor use): 0,82€ per litre ($3.10 per gallon)
Petrol: 1,145€ per litre ($4.33 per gallon)

Localmotion, That is cheaper than here by about 10c/litre on Diesel and Petrol at a variety of filling stations passed in Castelo Branco this morning. I do not know about Ag Diesel (coloured green here) but it was well under €1 before the last round of price cuts. I have previously heard that it pays Portuguese residents living near the border to cross into Spain for fuel.
