Diesel prices in Jan 2008?

Unleaded:
2.92
3.02

Diesel:
3.27 (or 3.29)

Granted, WA state has a fairly high tax added to the fuel...... And those are prices on the "REZ"..... and it's an Injun station too......

In the great state of Taxlvania I mean Pennsylvania......off road from a dealer is in the mid $ 2.90s for on road it is $ 3.34. I am always tempted to fill up my Jetta when the jobsite tank is being refilled.

Not to be outdone, Here in WI the off road diesel is currently $3.24 Unleaded gas is $3.09 and it has just dropped 5 cents from last week.

In Germany appr. 6,20 $/gallon for Diesel and 6.70 $/gallon for regular.

That's a good indication of where things are headed here in North America.

My next vehicle will be something like this (I need AWD or 4WD)
European First Drive: 2008 Subaru Legacy Boxer Diesel
or a small diesel truck

Someone put a response on suggesting "Assuming we increase our taxes/gallon by two or three dollars"

My response to that would be that I think it more likely that Exxon decides that $40 billion in profit is not enough so they hike up the price and make yet more money.
