Wish I had kept better track for you, but basically, my trip Aug 27 through Sep 6 to Colorado and back was about as follows:
$2.19 here, $2.20's in Tenn, $2.30's and 40's most of KY, IL, KS and climbing in KS/Eastern Colorado into $2.50's. Once to Rockies, it jumped high. Gunnison was $2.82.
Skipped Gunnison on way back until over the continental divide and on past Salida where it was still high. Filled up for 2.58 east of the Rockies and on the way back was mostly like the way out, with the cheapest being the last stop in GA for $2.11.
Cheapest trip to CO that I can ever remember as far as fuel goes. Grand total $ 720.82 including some running around while there and coming home with still about 3/4 tank.
Now 2nd set of groceries due to 500 lb black bear eating first set and chewing our coolers added to the trip total, but that and the mountain lion encounter and lots of bugling bull elk are other stories (and well worth the trip).
Buddy got chip in his truck between the last trip and this one. Fuel mileage was much higher and had we run in the Wild or Hot modes, could have been much higher still. If and when I buy a diesel, I will buy the chip. Well worth it.
