Here in PEI, the controlled price is currently 98.5/l gasoline and 113.5/l diesel, both in Canadian $$. So, diesel is about 15% more expensive than regular gas.
Meanwhile, furnace fuel is 81.7/l.

Here in Atlantic Canada reg gas is .96 per litre or 4.35 /gal, Diesel 1.17 per litre or 5.31 Can gal

I'm scheduled to have my tanks filled tomorrow at a $1.999 a gallon cash and I'm guessing they will take close to 300 gallons.

Just idle curiosity. When Canada used pints and gallons (I assume at least the non-French part did at some time) did you use Imperial or U.S. measure?

I remember as a kid, we bought gas by the Imperial gal, somewhere in the 70's the country changed to the metric system to accommodate more easily the European and Asian markets. Once you learn the system, there's no big deal. Now days people in their 40's don't know the difference.
