Here in PEI, the controlled price is currently 98.5/l gasoline and 113.5/l diesel, both in Canadian $$. So, diesel is about 15% more expensive than regular gas.

I remember as a kid, we bought gas by the Imperial gal, somewhere in the 70's the country changed to the metric system to accommodate more easily the European and Asian markets. Once you learn the system, there's no big deal. Now days people in their 40's don't know the difference.
