Our crude gets shipped to the 'states to be refined and then the gas/diesel is shipped back and then we are held over the barrel and the taxes are stuck *you know where*. They (the goobermint) calls it a road use tax, both Federal and provincial. On top of that is the famous Gouge & Screw Tax.Why? Are the taxes that much,? No refinery's ? I don't understand why you guys have to pay over twice what we are paying down here.
I don't know why the Federal Goobermint calls it a road use tax when in fact they don't own any roads. The Trans Canada Highway is Provincially owned and maintained.
Don't forget there is 40% exchange on the Canuck buck. Our buck is worth 60 cents US.
