Yeah it's different. But maybe that is normal.

The climate has never been static, so I think as long as it keeps changing...that is actually a good thing.

When we have forests and other plant communities that cannot survive and adapt to the pace of change, is this a good thing?

Ok, ok look, we will have climate change, armadillos moving too far north, ice melt, or gain depending on which end of the earth you are looking at. We will have to deal with it where it is problematic. We should and will. We should not use it as a tool to artificially advance a political agenda.

Maybe don't build buildings on steep cliffs that tend to slide when it rains.
Maybe don't build entire cities below sea level.
Maybe don't build buildings where a few inches of sea level change will endanger them.

You won't beat mother nature for an extended period of time. But for as long as she allows, you can live a nice life with her.

Maybe you should stop worrying so much about cyclical climate changes that have affected plant & animal habitats for millions of years, instead of us borrowing trillions on solar panels & windmills which still haven't been proven to stop or even slow climate change?

I bet if the entire country went “carbon neutral”, natural changes in climate would still cause glaciers to melt/freeze, animal species to recede or increase and plants to spread or die.

We have forests that are not regenerating in locations where the pollen records show the species existed for 50,000 years. I think that’s a significant concern. Most forest ecologists do also. People in the east don’t understand this because they don’t see it where they live.
