Nice conservative viewpoint. Unfortunately, there is a strong liberal contingent that wants to be coddled. If you strip away independence, you also remove personal responsibility, and that's what liberals want.

And conservatives want the government out of everything but people's bedrooms and your wife's pants.

WRONG; don't want them in either of those places either, but nice try to tell us what we think. :)

That's my point once again; God gave us our own minds and we can make them up on our own. To each his own. Don't need government, liberals, or anyone else telling me the party line of what I should think or do. Got that covered and I am happy to be responsible (and accountable) enough to take care of myself, my family, and help my community members and church.

I agree, but I think it should be stated as the Political conservatives. Most Conservatives and Most Liberals are good people. The politicians on both sides have corrupted everything and it makes the rest of us look bad. We Need to get rid of this career call Politics.

Must be cheaper because you are closer to the Gulf, Chris....

It's $4.05 here this morning. Headed for 5 bucks I suspect....

I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. I live about 100 miles from the Gulf in Louisiana, (second only to Tx in fuel production), and I saw it at $4.05.

Since it didn't snow here all winter and I don't have any large earth/rock moving projects going on, I've got enough diesel to run me thru most of the summer mowing. It was $4.10 then, in November.....don't know what it is now.

The part that I don't get is this....when people cut back the price goes up because of poor demand. And when people use more the price goes up because of the big demand. Go figure that.
