difference between 4100 & 4110?

Checking the JD website, they appear to currently offer a mix of yellow and green attachments. Not sure what the pattern is.

They show yellow on the current mid-mount 60 and 54 inch mowers for the 4100/4110.

However, the 72 inch mid-mower shown on the 4115 is green.

Some of the rear "Rotary Cutters" (LX4 and LX5) are green.

Tillers and snowblowers are green.

Front broom and blade are yellow.

Loader is green.

( There may be a slight hydraulic flow increase on some of the newer models compared to the 4100, but I think the 4110 is nearly an identical replacement newer model of pretty much the same thing. A 4115 would clearly be a step up in power and hydraulic flow from the 4100.

All the attachments are the same between the two. They started painting the mower decks and other attachments green at about that time as the '10's came out. A yellow mower deck will make your machine look like a "classic".

Resale will probably be higher on the newer model.

Rick-
I only see an impliment gpm of 5.1 for these....some have the 2.3 additional for steering on the dual gear pumps.

...and the 4110 and 4115 have the same increased hydraulic flow. Seems like that is the only major difference between 4100 and 4110, then.

impliment power would be the same then?....unless I was steering?....is that right?
There are also the HP difference to factor in also, which I understand.

Whats a good brand of aftermarket loaders? I need something as good as, if not better than the JD's, or is the JD's better? Also, I have not been able to find any used 410 FEL's....any idea where to look?

My 60" MMM deck for the 4110 is green (less than a year old). The first deck the delivered last spring had one set of forward mounting holes and wouldn't fit on the 4110 - dealer said he screwed-up and brought a deck for a 4100. The next deck he brought has 2 sets of forward hole locations. Dealer tells me it will fit a 4110 or 4115 but not the 4100. There was a thread a few months back about someone with a 4110 cutting off the forward bracket at the first set of holes, by making the deck just a few inches shorter it was easier to slide under the tractor (the forward bracket no longer hit the front wheel).

Not sure if other 4100/4110 implements are not compatible, certainly worth checking out before buying stuff that we would 'assume' fit both.

( The differences are minimal....the 4110 has a plastic hood, while the 4100 has a metal hood. The 4110 hides the diesel fuel cap with a small door, while the 4100 has the red cap exposed. Other than that, they are the same tractor. Anyone else ? Did I miss anything ? )

It has a plastic hood - I just dropped something on mine...:)

You would assume since the 4115 has more power that it would translate into more hydrolic lift capability - but that is not the case - same flow same lifting ability between the 3 models (4100, 4110 & 4115)....This question was answered by someone who had a 4100 and went to the 4115 so real life feedback was excellent. However they dont reside on this board, and I'm not going to provide the link as to where (house rules)

I have full position control on my 3 pt on my 4100....that should answer 3 pt questions. There is only a small lifting ability difference on the 3pt rating but its not accurate. I can lift 1,100 lbs on my 3pt all day long so I see no difference there at all. Remember the flow is the same on all these machines...

The 4100 are a great bargin these days and readily available.

stick with deeres 410 loader - no other aftermarket comes close and are more perfectly matched for each other...

I realize the 410 has been phased out and replaced bt the 200 series. I would try and find a 410 first IMO
