It is a pretty easy welding project.. Just get them straight, and not tilted. I ground off the casting seam on my hooks on the bottom so they would sit straight on the bucket. Prepped the bucket by getting to bare clean steel, it never hurts.
I use a small magnet to hold them still while I tacked. I wondered about arc "blow" with the DC welder, but it didn't seem to be a problem during tacking. Then just take some 7018 and get after it.
