Dig-It towable Backhoe partial restoration

Been a while since anyone posted to this thread I know and also a long time since I have logged in here, but now looking for some help with my Model 158CE. Looks like I blew a hose to the dipper cylinder yesterday. First time using the machine in a long time, probably 8 months or more.

Anyway wondering about replacing the hose, and I should probably do both while I'm in there I know. Looks like this hose is routed through the inside of the boom for protection. My first question is this a one piece hose from the control console to the cylinder or is it in two pieces with a coupling or other connection. I am currently not at the same location as the machine and don't have any detailed pictures and want to determine what I need to get. There is a local shop that does all types of hydraulic hoses and I know will have the proper rating hose and the fittings. I need to know how long the hoses are. I don't have a maintenance or parts manual. Heck, I never even got around to ordering a operation manual which I know I should have done long before now. :-(

I have reached out to Mission in an email but figured I would probably get a more detailed response here. The local hydraulic shop is my backup to getting the hoses from Mission.

Any tips or tricks to routing the hose through the boom you can pass on? I am thinking JHolman05 must have gone through this putting his machine back together and maybe a few of you have too.

I know this is an old thread but.....
My son has a Dig-it 148 and the hydraulic cylinders leak and I blew a hydro line. I was able to rebuild the dipper cylinder and replace the hydro line, but I could not disassemble the bucket curl cylinder. I searched the internet to find only cylinders with 1 inch swivel eyes I need 1 1/4 inch. If I get the 1 inch cylinders I would need to add bushings to adapt from 1 inch to original 1 1/4 inch on both end with spacers and other parts to keep them in place. I found this site and thread and called mission manufacturing was suggested. I call them AKA Power King Tractor . com. They have the cylinder and will send it out on Monday. Great you found it.. We just had our boom cylinder rebuilt locally here in Tn this past weekend.. Installing this weekend to see if it was successful It seems I blow out the seal on at least one cylinder a year.. I am going to start ordering the kits and do them myself.

That is a interesting backhoe, never seen those before.

Looks like something slides over it and locks on with a pin due to the hole, maybe a sunshade? If it points up behind the seat.

I think in that position it is being stored for later use. But I have not figured out where is used. The digger has a canopy.

hmm perplexing.. Mine does not have that particular mount on it. I couldnt even guess what it might be used for. I looked through my manual and it does not have anything listed there either.

Could it have been added on by a previous owner for something specialized?
